Podcasts For Book Lovers

8 Great Podcasts For Book Lovers

Do you ever listen to podcasts? I have to admit I’m a bit of a podcast addict. There are so many good quality programmes available to listen online or download and listen on the move. And best of all they’re FREE. I’ve often got my headphones on listening to programmes to help me with:

  • health and wellbeing advice
  • dog training and dog health
  • TED talks covering a wide range of topics
  • and of course podcasts all about books

So, in today’s book blog post I thought I’d share a list of great podcasts for book lovers. I tend to listen to podcasts whilst doing the housework and walking my dogs each day. It’s surprising how much time this can mount up to by the end of the week.

The podcasts listed below are the ones I find easy to listen to, with interesting author interviews and lots of great book recommendations to add to your To Be Read (TBR) list.

I know what you’re thinking, why isn’t Miche listening to audiobooks to speed up her book consumption for the book blog? And you’re right, it is something I need to explore this year, but I don’t seem to be able to ween myself off podcasts. It’s an addiction clearly 🙂 I may need help… in the meantime here’s my list.

Great Podcasts For Book Lovers - You're Booked suggestion

Daisy Buchanan, is your Book Inspector, and on her show she asks her guests all about the first forbidden books they read under the covers. The beloved books they have borrowed, and never given back, and those impressive heavyweight hardbacks that make them look like intellectual giants – even though they couldn’t get beyond the first twenty pages. Daisy also talks to her guests about what makes readers into writers, how they became book lovers and their favourite reading memories, all with a dash of intelligence and a dollop of irreverence.

I recently listened to: Author Kate Mosse being interviewed. I’m a big fan of Kate’s and always enjoy listening to her being interviewed.
