Wedding books brides will love

Wedding Books Brides will Love

Has your special someone popped the question? Congratulations if you’ve just got engaged, what an exciting time for you. To help kick off your wedding planning, I’ve created a book list below of wedding books brides will love.

On the 1st June 2021 Dave and I finally tied the knot. Well it was about time, it only took us 14 years 🙂 We were married in a beautiful wedding venue in the Devon countryside.

Wedding Day - Book list for brides to be
Touring Tales wedding day, Devon 2021

We got engaged on Valentine’s Day and from the following day I was all over the wedding planning. My head was so busy with ideas, actions and lists of things to organise. I wish now that I’d taken the time to order myself a wedding organiser/journal to track everything bouncing around in my head. Anyway, as you can see in the photo above, it all came together in the end and we had a lovely day.

If you’re a gorgeous bride-to-be, check out my top picks of wedding books I think brides will love. Wether you’re the bride (or groom) to be, the in-laws or the out-laws (just kidding 🙂 ), the best mates or the work mates. Scroll down for my favourite wedding book suggestions, there’s even reading and activity books for children so they can feel involved in your big day too.

It’s never too early to start the wedding list…

Something For The Groom-To-Be?

Next up here’s a couple of books suggestions to help the groom survive the wedding planner stage.

Groom’s Book Of Things To Do

A practical gift Idea for the Groom of an upcoming wedding.

Groom’s Instruction Manual: How to Survive and Maybe Even Enjoy the Most Bewildering Ceremony Known to Man

A fun guide and owners manual for the Groom to be. Would also make a fun gift idea from the stag party mates.

Wedding themed fiction books

The count down to your wedding day can be fun, exciting but also a little stressful (busy head syndrome). My advice would be to snuggle up with a few fiction books to escape the wedding fever for a while. Here are just a few wedding themed fiction books that look like the perfect escape.

The Cornish Cream Tea Wedding – Cressida McLaughlin

Wedding planner Ellie Moon is dreaming up the most beautiful bespoke wedding for Charlie and Daniel, owners of Cornwall’s favourite cream tea bus. Even though her own life has been turned upside down and she’s had to rent out her charming Cornish cottage with its climbing roses and lavender beds, Ellie is determined to give them a day to remember.

A Wedding in the Country – Katie Fforde

From the #1 bestselling author of uplifting feel-good fiction.

Lizzy has just arrived in London and is determined to make the best of her new life. Her mother may be keen that she should meet a Suitable Man and have a nice wedding in the country, but Lizzy is determined to have some fun first.

It is 1963 and London is beginning to swing as Lizzie cuts her hair, buys a new dress with a fashionably short hemline, and moves to a grand but rundown house in Belgravia with two of her best friends. Soon Lizzie’s life is so exciting that she has forgotten all about her mother’s marriage plans for her.

Three Weddings and a Proposal – Sheila O’Flanagan

FROM THE AUTHOR OF THE NO. 1 BESTSELLERS THE WOMEN WHO RAN AWAY AND THE MISSING WIFE

At the first wedding, there’s a shock

The second wedding is unexpected

By the third, Delphie thinks nothing could surprise her. But she’s wrong…

Even the bestselling author Danielle Steel has a touch of the wedding fever with her book.

The Wedding Dress  – Danielle Steel

The story of a family and a special dress, handed down from mother to daughter, during times of fortune, loss, tragedy and victory.

The Deveraux family were among the most important members of 1920s San Francisco society, and the wedding of their daughter Eleanor to wealthy banker Alexander Allen would be the highlight of the 1929 social calendar. The wedding, held in the family’s magnificent Pacific Heights mansion, was everything they’d hoped, and Eleanor’s dress was a triumph. Designed by one of the most famous fashion houses in Paris, it was exquisite in every way. But the dream life, along with the most perfect honeymoon in Europe, was about to come to an end when Alex received news of the Wall Street Crash. It appeared that the family had lost everything . . .

More Wedding Fiction Ideas

These last three fiction wedding books are my particular favourites. One is set in France (who doesn’t love a holiday wedding), the other two are psychological thrillers, yes really!

A Very French Wedding  – Maeve Haran

For all those who imagine escaping to a château and living the dream . . . to find that even dreams can have their complications.

The Wedding – Ruth Heald – One for Psychological thriller fans.

I’ve been dreaming about this day – marrying Adam, my childhood sweetheart, who I’ve loved for eighteen years.

I didn’t realise the perfect day would turn into the perfect nightmare.

The Bridesmaid – Nina Manning

Your best friend. Your worst nightmare…

From the moment they met as children, Sasha knew that beautiful, wealthy, and confident Caitlin would always be her absolute best friend. Sasha would do anything to make Caitlin happy.

Even keep her darkest secrets…

My Best Friend’s Wedding – Tilly Tennant

As chief bridesmaid, Libby knows she should be having the time of her life at her best friend’s wedding. But she’s at the mercy of three bossy little flower girls and she’s not looking her best in an enormous fuchsia dress. Which is a shame, as it is the first time she’s going to see her ex Rufus. The man she was supposed to marry. The man who left her alone at the altar…

A gorgeous, romantic heart-warming read with characters that will find their way into your heart and stay there. Perfect for fans of Jill Mansell, Shari Low and Jenny Colgan.
