Weekly Book List for book fans

Five Things Friday [#9]

Happy Friday everyone, hope you’ve had a productive reading week. Here’s my Five Things Friday book list to tempt you with something bookish for the weekend.

ONE

New on my TBR List

Spring has definitely arrived here in Wiltshire (UK). We are seeing lovely flower blossom, daffodils and crocus’s on our dog walks. I love spring but my garden is looking pretty sorry after winter. It’s time to tidy up patio pots, window planters and get planning for this year. So with spring gardening in mind I’ve added this delightful looking garden book to my TBR List. The Five Minute Garden

Book Cover Notes

The five-minute method to keep your garden beautiful

Garden writer and busy mum Laetitia Maklouf has discovered the secret of happier gardening – do something small every day. She’s packed this book with little bursts of activity: spruce, chop, nurture, fuss or tackle a larger project, all in five-minute forays.

Every day, rain or shine, do something for your garden with whatever time you can spare. Before you know it, you will have a daily gardening habit and a beautiful garden you can enjoy all year round.

What I’ve been reading

I previously mentioned, I recently set up a local book club. I’m super excited about this, there are 14 lovely members signed up and we’re currently reading our first book club book. The Girl On The Beach. I’m about 40% through this book and it’s quite intriguing so far. I’ll share a book review at the end of the month once I’ve chatted about it with my book club.

Book Cover Notes

Anna steps forward to take a better look, fighting to keep her hood in place. Leaning down, she pulls the brown slime of the seaweed away and recoils in horror. Underneath is the white curve of a human leg.

What would you do if you discovered a dead body on a remote beach and no one else seemed to care?

Crackling with tension, this electrifying page-turner by critically acclaimed author Susanna Beard defies expectation.

Perfect for fans of Gillian Flynn, T.M. Logan, B.A. Paris, Liane Moriarty, Claire Dyer, Sam Carrington, Celeste Ng.

What I’ve been Watching

This week I watched Jane Austen’s Book Club on PRIME Video. This is a bit of an older movie (2007) but it’s been on my watchlist as it’s book related. This was a lovely, easy, feel good movie. Perfect for a rainy weekend afternoon snuggle on the sofa kind of movie. Here’s the Trailer:

Photo Of The Week

Our gorgeous Spaniel Poppy had her birthday this week, I can’t believe she’s six already. She is the most beautiful, kind natured dog you could ever meet. Here’s a photo of her with her new bunny birthday toy.

What’s been happening at Touring Tales

Finally on this weeks Five Things Friday Book List, here at Touring Tales it’s all been about the vaccine this week in our house. Both Dave and I have now had our first jab. Pretty much everyone we know has had their first vaccination, the roll out programme here in Wiltshire has been so well organised. The NHS are doing a fabulous job, millions of people already have 1 of 2 jabs. Amazing work and hopefully we are all a step closer to being able to meet face to face and slowly transition back out into the world again. We can’t wait to be able to tour in our motorhome again. Touring Tales will at last be back out on the road.

Weekly round-up: Here are the Touring Tales book blog posts published this week just incase you missed them:
